I have, once again, updated the look of my website.  I think the look is a bit more, well, pleasing to the human eye.  Let me know what you think.  You can click on the "Contact" link at the top or bottom of any page on this site, the "Houston Brooks Laney" in the bottom right corner of every page on this site, or just find me on Facebook.  I have a MySpace page, but I do not use it because, well, I think MySpace is pretty trashy.  Just a personal opinion.

I am no longer in Shanghai.  I am back in the good ol' U.S. of A.  I finally finished my graduate program and now have my Master of Arts in Diplomacy.  Hooray me!  I met a lot of really good people, sorry, quality people whilst in the land of the eternal hippy (i.e., Vermont).  It truly was a wonderful experience.  In regards to Shanghai/China, however, I have no idea when I will be going back.  I am going to enroll in Norwich University's Master's Teaching & Learning Certificate Program.  After that, I am thinking about seeking employment as an adjunct professor.  If that does not work out, well, I will put my diplomatic skills to work and probably find a job overseas teaching at an international school.  As many of you know, I graduated from an international school (wow, really was ages ago).  Way to go Shanghai American School.  At least the pay is good, you do not have any expenditures outside of a telephone bill and holiday travel, and you get to eat really cheap street food.  So tempting.
